Bio

Adam Hoogeveen spent his early ‘20s living in Germany, Scotland and New Zealand. Whilst in Auckland, he stumbled upon Bivouac Outdoor, a small shop in the core of the city. He stepped away from bartending at a champagne lounge to work as a sales associate in the retail store. It was the first small steppingstone towards a career in the outdoor industry.

Adam is passionate about keeping projects on schedule and providing quality product on time for his clients. The core of his experience is in sales, sales operations and customer service, but demonstrates a wide range of skills in project management and has developed an entrepreneurial spirit. He is equally at home leading a sales presentation as he is digging into the finer details of a deal.

In 2006, Adam moved to Vancouver, B.C. after wrapping up his studies at Carleton University. The lure of the ocean, the energy of this vibrant city, and a host of friends and family brought him to town. However, it was the introduction of backcountry skiing, mountain biking on the North Shore, and exploring the coast that cemented his place on the west coast.

Adam has worked with many brands including MEC, G3 Genuine Guide Gear, Coast Mountain Culture Magazine and Arc’teryx among others. In a continuing pursuit of knowledge, he has completed coursework in project management, excel, mountain skills and negotiation. In his free time, Adam enjoys travel, exploring the outdoors, the odd podcast and has a deep passion for music.
